Day 1:

After a big breakfast we leave from Riobamba early in the morning and drive up to the first refuge of Chimborazo. From the first refuge we climb 45 minutes to the second refugee at 5,000 meters where we relax until we commence our ascent.

We start climbing at midnight and if the weather is right we should reach the peak at around Sunrise. From the peak it takes 4 – 5 hours to get back down to base camp.
