Mount Cayambe
Mount Cayambe is the third highest mountain in Ecuador at 5,790 meters (18,996 feet) and the extinct volcano is also famous for being the only places that crosses the planets Equator that is covered in snow.
We arrive in Cayambe the night before and early the next morning we take the car as close to the lodge as possible and then walk to base camp. In the afternoon we practice ice climbing then rest a bit before starting our descent.
