Three Summits
This package is for those who want to climb the three highest mountains in Ecuador – Mount Cayambe, Mount Cotopaxi, and Mount Chimborazo.
1. The first ascent we attempt is Mount Cayambe – the third highest mountain in the country and the only mountain on Earth that is located on the Equator line and covered in snow.
2. The next mountain expedition is the stunning active cone Volcano Cotopaxi. At 5,900 meters this is a very challenging mountain but the views of the surrounding snow covered peaks are phenomenal as well as the volcano crater on the peak.
3. Last we attempt Mount Chimborazo – which is not only the highest mountain in Ecuador but also the highest mountain on Earth when measured from the Earths center and not sea level like Everest.

Day 6: Rest Day in Indigenous Markets at Otavalo
Day 7: Start Climbing Mount Cotopaxi
Day 8: Descent of Mount Cotopaxi Climb
Day 9: Rest day in Riobamba
Day 10: Start Climbing Mount Chimborazo
Day 11: Descent of Mount Chimborazo Climb
Day 12: Rest Day in Baños Hot Springs
Day 13: Finish Mountain Climbing Expedition in Quito

Recommended to Bring
- A flashlight or headlamp
- A refillable water bottle
- Multiple pairs of warm socks (alpaca wool socks are cheap in Ecuador)
- We supply the plastic mountain climbing boots but it is recommended
you bring a pair of trekking / hiking boots with ankle support and
preferably water resistant.
