LEARN TO CLIMB
Have you ever sat in front of the Discovery Channel during one of those shows where Mountain Climbers pushed themselves to the absolute limit?
One of those shows where gail force winds beat them down but the climbers got back up again and again?
Those crazy bastards that seemed impervious to the sub-zero heat and simply soldiered on in the face of the most unforgiving conditions on the planet.
If you have then you are not alone.
Not a single Mountain Climber alive does not remember a time when they too were merely spectators. And not a single Mountain Climber on Earth was born with crampons latched onto his feet or an ice axe curled up in her arms.
Every Mountain Climber has had to start somewhere. They all had the same doubts, the same fears. They all had to make a decision.
To Climb or not to Climb.
It takes guts to take that first step and that first step comes way before your first ascent.
Thats because Mountain Climbing isnt one of those sports you join at the local gym with a bunch of bored housewives. It never will be and nor should it be.
It not only takes extreme mental and physical preperation to climb mountains but also the right type of environment to ease you into the elite sport.
And as far as training grounds go: nowhere is better than Climbing the Equator.
