“Next we went to Punay, a breathtakingly beautiful mountain south of Riobamba, where, after hiking for a few hours and the guide pointing out and identifying every plant and animal we encountered, we got to watch the sun set over the clouds from the very western edge of the Andes – it was the most amazing sight I have ever seen… the next morning we made some breakfast as an owl hunted the summit around us and we hiked down for another fabulous homemade meal.”

“I wanted to get into climbing for a while but the huge cost prevented me from doing so. When I found out about Ecuador being a great place to learn how to climb that was nowhere near as expensive as the Alps or Himalayas I jumped at the chance. I felt very safe because the guides had years of experience and also spoke English. We went through the technical side of things first and the same guide was with us the whole way.
Unfortunately there was a storm when we tried to climb Mount Cayambe so we had to turn back but the weather was great for the rest of the trip and summiting Cotopaxi and Chimborazo were the hardest thing I have ever done in my life. Something I will never forget. I would definitely recommend this trip to anyone!

“we camped atop of Punay. The views were breath taking and the energy there was special. The hike was challenging (in a good way) and we were completely rewarded for our efforts. I recommend taking a trip with Wlady. He showed me exactly what i wanted to see… away from the tourist track. He knows so much about the area, history, people, and nature that he introduces to you.”

The mountain climbing tour to the top of the pyramid Puñay was incredible. Quite a challenge for two very inexperienced hikers but truly worth it. Camping on top of the mountain we learned about the magic of hanan pacha and explored the pyramid. And the sunrise the next morning was truly indescribable.”

“I trekked the altar with Ecuador Eco Adventure last year, talk about getting off the beaten track! respect for the Ecuador Eco Adventure team who are providing travelers with an unforgettable experience and at the same time giving back to the local communities.”

“Later that day we hiked through some back country trails over rivers and streams to a waterfall canyon / cave high in the mountains. The following day high in the mountains above 3,000 meters we hiked across desert plains, open fields and through farming pastures that have not changed there look and methods in hundreds of years.”
